The Auchentoshan 12 Years is a single malt whiskey from the Lowlands region, Scotland, made using the triple distillation process and aged in exbourbon American oak barrels for 12 years.
The Lowlands region is known for producing whiskeys that are generally lighter and smoother compared to those of other Scottish regions. Although not as famous as Speyside or Islay, the Lowlands region has contributed significantly to the history and diversity of the Scotch whiskey industry.
