The Auchentoshan Three Wood is a single malt whiskey from the Lowlands region, Scotland, aged in three different types of barrels; Barrels of American Bourbon, Spanish Oloroso Sherry and finally the Pedro Ximénez Sherry barrels.
The Lowlands region is known for producing whiskeys that are generally lighter and smoother compared to those of other Scottish regions. Although not as famous as Speyside or Islay, the Lowlands region has contributed significantly to the history and diversity of the Scotch whiskey industry. - Auchentoshan Distillery

Tast note
Golden bronze in colour.
The nose shows black currants, brown sugar, oranges, plums and grapes.
On the palate with notes of fruit, syrup, hazelnuts, cinnamon and lemon. A certain sweetness of syrup adds complexity to the whole.
The finish is fresh, fruity and a sweetness from the wood is appreciated.
