Buy Rosé Wines from Chile

Chile's rosé wines are known for their quality and diversity. Chile has excellent climatic and geographical conditions for wine production, and rosés are no exception.

How are Chilean rosé wines made?

Chile's rosé wines are made primarily by the "bleeding" (saignée) method and short maceration. In the bleeding method, a small amount of red grape must be extracted after a short period of contact with the skins, allowing a more concentrated pale pink color to be obtained. This must be fermented separately to produce rosé wine. On the other hand, in the short maceration process, the red grapes are gently pressed, and the juice remains in contact with the skins for only a few hours before being fermented. This technique also results in a rosé wine with a light color and outstanding freshness.

Both methods seek to highlight fruit aromas and flavors, resulting in Chilean rosé wines that are fresh, fruity, and perfect to enjoy on various occasions.

What are Chilean rosé wines like?

Chile's rosé wines are recognized for their freshness, elegance, and diversity of flavors. The privileged climate of the different Chilean wine regions allows the grapes to acquire a perfect balance of acidity and maturity, which translates into rosé wines with a vibrant color palette that ranges from pale pink to more intense tones. Regarding its taste, these wines usually offer pronounced fruit notes, such as strawberries, raspberries, cherries, and peaches, with floral and spicy touches. Most Chilean rosé wines are dry and have a smooth, silky texture on the palate, making them highly refreshing and versatile to pair with a wide range of dishes, from salads to seafood, poultry, and white meats.

Thanks to their balanced acidity and pleasant flavor, Chilean rosé wines are an ideal option to enjoy in warm climates and moments of relaxation and celebration.
